The New 2010 Protoscar LAMPO2

http://autocargotransport.blogspot.com/Protoscar, a Swiss based company which has been developing CleanCar projects for 23 years, has newly introduced an electric demonstration sports car, the Protoscar LAMPO2. The Protoscar LAMPO2, being presented at the 80th Geneva Motor Show, boasts “quick-charging” capability (capable of 100 km range extension in just 10 minutes charging time).

http://autocargotransport.blogspot.com/Protoscar LAMPO2 is equipped with four different charging modes covering a standard single-phase with equal to 3,3kW on board charger for typical overnight home-charge, “control-pilot” equipped and PLC single-phase by 6,6kW on board charger typical for public charging, standard 3-phase 9,9kW on board charger typical for charging at industrial plugs (fleet-owners), and an interface for DC fast charging (able to transmit a maximum power of 80kW), where up to 100km of added range can be charged in just 10 minutes, by an off-board system, so that the different solutions can be compared in terms of usability as well as efficiency by being demonstrated in real conditions.

http://autocargotransport.blogspot.com/Protoscar LAMPO2 will be shown together with dissimilar charging infrastructure solutions, a smart home charge device (developed with ALPIQ), the public charging station E-TOTEM also the quick-charging station (developed with ABB and Brusa). Protoscar LAMPO2 has 2 electric motors with a total output of 300 kW (equivalent to 408 HP), 640 Nm (over 50 percent more than its predecessor!) and above 30 kWh of Lithium-Ion battery capacity. More energy for driving is produced by a remote solar plant which is installed on the top of a farm in Tuscany, permitting a real zero-emission drive on a “Well-to-Wheel” basis.

http://autocargotransport.blogspot.com/In concert with the first LAMPO, the Protoscar LAMPO2 will be used for practical demonstrations and testing. Alongside, its weight, aerodynamics as well as the efficiency of individual components of the BRUSA drive train has been more optimized.
