Honda Racing has announced that the Honda HSV-010 GT will vie in the GT500 class of the 2010 Super GT Series. The Honda HSV-010 GT weighs 1,100 kg (2420 pounds) and measures 4.675 m in length and 2.000 m in width. The race car has a 2.700 m wheelbase. The Honda HSV-010 GT is powered by a 3.4-liter V8 liquid-cooled, naturally aspirated engine with two intake and two exhaust valves for each cylinder that develops 500+ hp as well as 392+ Nm of torque also the power of the Honda HSV-010 GT is being sent to the wheels by a constant mesh transmission with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters.
The Honda HSV-010 GT, HSV stands for Honda Sports Velocity and comes with a double wishbone suspension system with a torsion bar also has a hydraulic ventilated disc braking system. The Honda HSV-010 GT race car is based on a recent NSX prototype and will first appearance during the March 20-21 season opening race weekend at Suzuka Circuit in south-central Japan.
